Meet someone from the Ark Eden team at Mui Wo Ferry Pier for a guided walk to the site.

Arrive at Ark Eden

Arrive at the Nursery at Ark Eden, choose your tree and collect all materials for tree planting.

Enjoy some light refreshments while hearing about the story of the trees and filling out the tag for your tree with your loved one's name.

Tree Planting

Walk to tree planting site, watch a tree planting demo, plant your tree and all walk back down together.

Lunch

Enjoy a healthy, organic, vegan lunch made with some ingredients from our own garden. After lunch, you can mingle, hang out and explore Ark Eden's permaculture site.

About this event

Celebrate Father's Day by honouring our fathers in the hills of Mui Wo at our tree planting event. Come with your family, friends or even alone and plant a tree to honour your father or another loved one. Create a living legacy that future generations can visit for years to come.

Cost: 400HKD per person

Frequently asked questions

I am coming from Central, how should I get there?

Be sure to follow the Sunday ferry schedule. You can catch a fast ferry from Central Pier 6 at 8:30 am. There are shops close to the pier where you can grab breakfast, coffee or a cold drink. An Ark Eden team member will be at Mui Wo pier at 9:30 to sign people in and walk up to our site.

What should I wear?

Comfortable walking shoes with tread, light long trousers, hat (not a visor), t-shirt or light long sleeved shirt, sunscreen, mosquito repellent

What should I bring?

1 litre reusable water bottle, a small towel or handkerchief, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, rain gear (if rain is in the forecast).

Do you need to be physically fit?

Please be aware that on top of it being a hot and humid time of year, there is a moderate walk to Ark Eden with some incline and the hike up to the tree planting site is steep in some areas and you must navigate through some brush.

Is it suitable for children?

Due to the tree planting site we will be using, it is not suitable for children under 6. Please inform us ahead of time if you have any children joining you.

Should I eat before joining?

Make sure to eat a well balanced breakfast so that you have the strength and energy needed for the day.

How can I receive a certificate to share with my loved one?

If you would like a certificate to share with your loved one, please provide your name (the person planting the tree), their name (the person the tree is in honour of), and an email address we can send a digital copy to.
