Overview
With 10 online training sessions and 1 one-on-one consulative session, the trainer and consultant will guide you through the APC process to complete the RICS assessment, to become a chartered surveyor of Commercial Real Estate, Residential or Valuation.
This program covers the definitions of RICS APC mandatory, core and your optional competencies so you will understand how to demonstrate your required competencies in both of your written assessment and final assessment interview.
The dedicated consultant will support you through the assessment process. During the 1-on-1 consultative session, the trainer will advise you with the best practice and solutions for your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
Upom completion of the program, your written assessment will be ready for submission and be well prepared for the final interivew.

1-on-1 consulation
A 2-hour consultative session will be arranged upon completion of the training sessions.
Base on your draft of Summary of Experience (SoE) and Case Study, the trainer will provide customized advices on how to complete your written assessment and demonstrate your competenices in the Final Assessment Interview.
Learning objective
By completing this program, you will be able to:

- Understand best practice for Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Residential & Valuation (RICS's standard)
- Explain the mandatory competencies in the Final Assessment Interview
- Demonstrate high standard knowledge on the Core and Optional competencies in the Final Assessment Interview
- Identify the areas which you need drill into
- Apply appropriate valuation methods, inspection and measurement techniques
- Assess the residential letting market and required legal compliance

Trainer
Mr Franky C. H. WONG
FRICS, MHKIS, MCIM, FIPA, CRREA, RPS(GP), RICS Registered Valuer
Graduated from The University of Hong Kong with Master of Science in Real Estate, Franky is an experienced General Practice Surveyor / Chartered Valuation Surveyor with 20 years proven experience in handling both statutory and non-statutory professional assignments.
Franky heavily involves in providing consultancy services to business trusts (“BT”) and real estate investment trusts (“REIT”), conducting feasibility studies, market research and valuations of special properties such as bus depots, casinos, leisure properties, petrol filling stations and public rental estates, as well as carrying out due diligence, project management and administration works for court submission, government projects and listed companies’ matters. His geographical coverage includes Hong Kong, Macao, Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Cambodia, Malaysia, United Kingdom and the USA.
Being his community service to the society, Franky has been appointed by HKIS as assessor. He is also appointed by RICS as a Mentor, Panel Chairman and Assessor to provide guidance to APC who will sit for the assessments and final interviews. He is also appointed by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) as the Treasurer of Hong Kong Committee since 2018.
In addition, he has been invited as a guest speaker for RICS and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, School of Hotel and Tourism Management to deliver training courses and guest lectures. He also wrote a number of articles which is related to real estate and marketing aspects. His articles were published and distributed via various media such as CPJobs and Jiujik as well as several online platforms.
Consultants
Mr. Peter Au
Mr Au has been working in the learning & development industry for more than 10 years. He has served across a number of professions such as legal, auditing, finance and I.T. security.
Mr Au worked in RICS in the last couple of years and was responsible for creating and operating training courses for APC or trainees. He has comprehensive understanding of all requirements of APC assessment and his programs were appreciated by the delegates since these programs increase the passing rate of RICS APC assessment.
