An Intimate Evening with Karen Hao: Inside the Empire of AI
Join one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in AI -- Karen Hao, investigative journalist and author of the explosive bestseller "Empire of AI," for a rare discussion on how Silicon Valley is creating a new form of digital colonialism. Karen reveals how AI companies exploited data workers, land and water, from Kenya to Chile. With unprecedented access to OpenAI, she exposes the company's internal power struggles and how the race for artificial general intelligence perpetuates global inequality and exploitation. Her reporting has fundamentally shaped global perceptions of the company at the center of the AI revolution. Karen will also share how reporters can undertake the new age of AI with critical thinking. Come prepared for uncomfortable truths about how technology shapes our world.
