Why This Workshop?

English teachers say their reading lessons often…

  • take too long to plan
  • get stuck on comprehension questions, and
  • ignore higher-order skills like inference and summarising.

This 90-minute live workshop shows you exactly how AI can fix those pain points and turn reading into an active, engaging skill your learners will love.

In this webinar, you’ll learn how to:

  • Prediction: generate schema-activation questions in seconds.
  • Vocabulary: create tasks that help learners tackle unknown words without a dictionary.
  • Inference: design AI-powered activities that build critical-thinking muscles.
  • Summarising: scaffold concise, meaningful summaries your students can actually write.
  • Prompt Design: adapt & refine AI outputs so they hit your learning aims every time.

Practical Takeaways

1. Copy-and-paste AI prompt templates for prediction, inference & summarising.

2. Ready-to-use student worksheets (fully editable).

3. A printable cheat-sheet on adapting AI text so it stays age- and level-appropriate.

Outcomes

After the workshop you can …

  • design varied, strategy-focused reading tasks in minutes;
  • reuse AI prompts to cut future planning time in half;
  • confidently integrate AI into any course book or reading programme.

Your students will be able to …

  • predict content and vocabulary before reading;
  • infer meaning from context instead of guessing;
  • summarise main ideas clearly and accurately.

Who Should Attend?

  • EFL / ESL teachers (young learners 10–18 & adults A2–B2)
