Join our Tea Curator, Resham Daswani, for a monthly Afternoon Tea Talk as we explore the genre of Black Tea, learn about the importance of organic and sustainable farming methods, and enjoy some delectable plant-based morsels.

We will drink and explore our August Tea of the Month – ‘Wisdom King’, a most incredible aged tea that introduces the dynamic layers of old trees and the liveliness of sustained ancient ecosystems. The gentle stable flavours of this tea are distinct and harmonize with the strong structure of the velvety liquor that permeates from head to toe. There is a depth in this tea sealed with pine forest fragrance and balanced Qi. Each cup whispers the stories of the sages shared over lost time in the essence of the large dark leaves.

The main characteristic of Black Tea is a post-production piling and in TCM, it is uniquely cooling or warming when needed, good for dispelling dampness, aiding digestion and detoxifying the body. Black Tea is one of our favourite genres of tea, especially in the wetter and humid seasons change, as the deep fragrant brews settle the soul and helps you to turn inwards.
