Learn to prepare and cook some of the most quintessential and arguably the most delicious African dishes. In addition to learning the culinary culture of Africa, you will learn how to pound yam using traditional tools, and how to prepare egusi stew using traditional methods as well. Food preparation across Africa has always come with story-telling and dancing. The art of pounding yam itself is arguably a dance. Ginger-based drinks are believed to have health and performance benefits across Africa. You will also get to learn how to prepare your own pineapple ginger drink. Elements of African drumming and dancing will be included in this workshop to re-create a holistic, dynamic and authentic experience. The workshop will end with a full African buffet lunch which will consist of a total of 8 dishes. Join us for this workshop as we commemorate World Food Day 2022.
