Description

This backbending workshop will teach you how to properly warm up your whole body by doing Chandra Namaskar (moon salutation )and introduce of anatomy before getting into some advanced backbend poses including Natarajasana(Dancer pose) Urdhva Dhanurasana(Wheel pose), Eka Pada Urdhva Dhanurasana (one legged wheel pose), Urdhva Dhanurasana with dropping back and standing up.

This backbend workshop is suitable for yogis who want to deepen their knowledge in how to perform backbend safely and gain benefits from deeper and more challenging backbending asanas.

19/8 (1.5hr): Practise of Chandra namarska, side bending, spinal twisting and hip opening in preparation of Urdhva Dhanurasana(Wheel pose) and Natarajasana(Dancer pose), learn how to use props perform safely in these advanced asanas. Chanting and Heart Chakra meditation.


26/8 (1.5hr) : self-led of Chandra namarska, suitable warm up for doing Eka Pada Urdhva Dhanurasana (one legged wheel pose), Urdhva Dhanurasana with dropping back and standing up. Learn how to use the wall to prepare yourself in full version of these intermediate asanas. End with a Singing Bowl Meditaiton and a short yoga nidra.
