【 An Encounter with Umeshu 】Join us for a journey of craftsmanship - from ‘farm to table’, Japan’s Minabe to Hong Kong.Known as Japan’s number one producer of #Nanko-ume, the town of Minabe in the Wakayama Prefecture is home to a longstanding tradition of exquisite household umeshu produced with ume in family farms.Mr. Ryo Takada, a Minabe native, was inspired by his grandfather’s farm to carry on the heritage of the region. Together with his team, he founded Minabe Craft Umeshu to create top-quality umeshu with a “farm-to-table” approach, where farmers and locals are involved throughout the process - from planting to fermentation, packaging and sharing the final product to customers around the world. In this special event, Mr. Takada will be bringing the limited Minabe Craft Umeshu 01-10 selection to Hong Kong. Each type is ordered by its varying alcohol content, base alcohol and fermentation method with distinct personalities. Joe, co-founder and head chef of local restaurant Nutmad, will also create four unique dishes inspired by umeshu and Hong Kong flavours. Join us to savor the myriad tastes of umeshu, and enjoy stories about the extraordinary craft of Japanese umeshu-making. 知味】An Encounter with Umeshu日期 Date: 2023.12.2-3時間 Time: 3:00 - 5:00pm主持 Host: Mr. Ryo Takada (founder, Minabe Craft Umeshu), Joe Lee (co-founder and head chef, Nutmad)語言 Language: 日語及廣東話 (現場設有即時翻譯）Japanese and Cantonese with interpretation費用 Fee: $320 (會員 members)，$390 (非會員non-members) * 費用包括 PMQ 味道圖書館即日通行證一張 Fee includes one PMQ Taste Library Day Pass菜單 Menu:1) 鮮𧐢。 梅酒 Oyster • omelette • Umeshu (no.3 umeshu)2) 青木瓜。 Green papaya • long bean •shrimp • Umeshu (no.1 umeshu)3) Five spice beef brisket • endive • chill oil (pairing with no.9 umeshu） 4) Participants must be aged 18 or above 備註:1. 5.
