Description
Back for our 5th annual Black History Month Event, join us, the poets of Peel Street Poetry and an unbeatable entertainment line-up as we Honour Poets of the African Diaspora. Be inspired, be moved and entertained while raising money for an excellent cause.
This year's theme echoes what's currently going on in the world. We will explore how the power of WORDS are used to DIVIDE or UNITE us. Be prepared for a dynamic evening as we use the art of poetry, spoken word and music to celebrate Black History Month and Honour Poets of the African Diaspora.
Each year we choose a local charity or NGO to support. This year we have chosen A Table of Two Cites as our charity partner.
About Table of Two Cities:
Table of Two Cities is a grassroots non-profit organization that provides a platform for refugees and asylum seekers to share their stories in their own words, through the medium of food. TOTC regularly collaborates with other grassroots projects and organizations around Hong Kong to hold community events, with the goal of bringing two sides of Hong Kong to one table.
