It's hard to describe until you experience it by yourself. “What is Food Design” is a 4-section programme for you to experience, to enjoy, to understand what Food design is and why Food design.
Starter: Chef vs Food Designer – Experiencing Food Design (75mins)
What is the difference between Chef and Food Designer? Flavour or Enjoyment?
Through a five-course menu served by Chef & Food Designer, you are invited to have an immersive experience that explores the concept of Food Design through herbs delicacies.
Main Course: NOT just Cooking – The 6 Categories of Food Design (45mins)
In addition to cooking and taste, food can be a way to deliver a message, to explore the relationships and possibilities between food and food, food and man, as well as food and society. In order to highlight the social significance of food, we will feature six fields of food design and bring out the philosophy of Experiences.
Food Experiment#1 Herb x Machine x Rice = ? (90mins)
You will be invited to create a New Eating Experience with Herbs, Machines and Rice. (To explore the possibilities of Food Design?) Let’s get our hands Dirty! But remember, we have to finish all our “End-products”
Dessert: Designing Dining Behaviors (45mins)
Why not also altering eating behaviors and processes of your result? Design can create new dining experiences, make it Fun and Enjoy!
Tea or Coffee: Conclusion - Food Design is the Solution for Social Issue (15mins)
Design provides solution, how about food design?
In the last part, we will discuss the importance of food design in our society and future.
