According to the Global Slavery Index 2021, it was estimated that 50 million people are victims of modern slavery globally. This number is rising by the minute.
Approximately 25% of the total estimated victims are children.

The 24 Hour Race is a Running To Stop The Traffik (RTSTT) initiative that empowers high school students to lead the movement to end modern slavery.
Human trafficking is present in every country. However, the pandemic and climate change have exacerbated the number of people impacted by this institution. Victims of human trafficking are more vulnerable than ever.
And that’s exactly why we run. For 24 hours, we push ourselves, physically and mentally to stand with these people. Millions of vulnerable families and individuals are without access to freedom, safety, and other necessities. We run to bring awareness to this cause. We run to stop the traffik.
What are we fundraising for?
The 24 Hour Race (Running To Stop The Traffik) is a Hong Kong-registered charity with a host of anti-human-trafficking initiatives including:
- Mentoring Workshops
- Youth Empowerment Conferences & Events
- Student Leadership Programs
- Incubators and Youth Seeding Campaigns
In addition to this, we are collaborating with Sons & Daughters and The Freedom Story.
Sons & Daughters: We need HK$60,000.00 to help fund the aftercare of a victim of human trafficking here in Hong Kong. This year-long program offers holistic care and ongoing support to a survivor living among us.
The Freedom Story: We need a significant amount to raise funds to support the following initiatives in Northern Thailand:
- Training local community members in human trafficking prevention
- Mentorship programs for at-risk youth
- Full academic scholarships for vulnerable children
- Legal assistance for survivors
Together, these efforts aim to provide hope, healing, and lasting change for vulnerable individuals across our communities.
A little about the race:
Teams of 8 take turns running the 3km Lugard Road loop on the Peak for 24 Hours. This will happen on the 29th-30th of November 2025 from 9am-9am. There will be prizes for the most fundraised, the most laps run, and the most spirited teams!
