About this event

2025 Network Conference India: 18 September 2025

Intersectionality at Work: Centering Community Voices in Workplace Inclusion

As Indian workplaces evolve, inclusion must move beyond checkboxes to become truly transformative. This one-day, small-scale conference brings together voices from business, academia, grassroots organisations, and civil society to lead meaningful conversations around intersectionality, identity, and justice in the workplace.

Throughout the day, we will explore key themes shaping the future of workplace inclusion through a series of powerful keynote talks, collaborative roundtables, and community-led workshops. Sessions will delve into creating safe spaces for employee voice and advocacy, redefining inclusion by positioning marginalised voices as policy architects, and examining the role of corporate leadership in advancing inclusion beyond the workplace. We’ll also preview new research on social mobility in India and engage in a participatory art session that invites us to co-create inclusion together through artistic expression.

At Community Business, our mission is to drive responsible and inclusive business across Asia. We believe that real progress happens when corporate action is rooted in community connection. That’s why our Community Business Network serves as a bridge between organisations and the grassroots—helping our members turn values into action by partnering with those creating impact on the ground.

We invite you to be part of this important dialogue.

With meetings, events and projects facilitated by Community Business, DE&I and HR professionals meet regularly to network, learn, and share best practices – and ultimately, to drive positive change in their organisations. Through Community Business Network, individuals establish a strong network of relationships and deepen their understanding of diversity and inclusion in the Asia region - enabling them not only to perform better in their roles as diversity practitioners but also to drive their company’s strategy forward.
