[周末分享會] 為清涼社區騰出空間

氣候韌性的戶外公共空間，刻不容緩。在香港舊區的高密度社區中，戶外公共空間是居民日常聚集、休憩和交流的重要「第三空間」，卻正面對酷熱、狹窄及資源不足等問題。隨着以自然為本的解決方案日益受到重視，本分享會將探討如何為油麻地、旺角等舊區及時帶來具氣候韌性的公共空間改善，而非讓居民只能等待漫長的市區重建。

「涼伴有里 Cooling Neighbours」 為低碳想創坊「青年氣候倡議培訓」計劃 2026 年青年氣候倡議工作小組。團隊由青年主導，聚焦透過以自然為本的解決方案，提升香港舊區公共空間的氣候韌性。團隊以油麻地公共街市街休憩花園為倡議參考，推動打造更清涼、舒適及具氣候適應力的社區空間，支援基層社群應對極端高溫。

[Weekend Sharing] Making Space for Cooler Neighbourhoods

Climate-resilient public space cannot wait. In Hong Kong’s older, high-density neighbourhoods, outdoor spaces are vital everyday “third places” where communities gather, rest and connect—yet they are increasingly heat-stressed, cramped and under-resourced. As nature-based solutions gain momentum, this session explores how urgent, climate-responsive improvements can reach neighbourhoods such as Yau Mong now, rather than asking residents to wait for long-term redevelopment.

Speaker Bio: Cooling Neighbours

Cooling Neighbours is the 2026 Youth Climate Advocacy Working Group under CarbonCare InnoLab’s Climate Advocacy Training for Youth (CATY) programme. The youth-led team focuses on strengthening the climate resilience of public spaces in Hong Kong’s older districts through nature-based solutions (NbS). Using the Public Square Street Rest Garden in Yau Ma Tei as a pilot reference, the group advocates for cooler, more comfortable and climate-adaptive neighbourhood spaces that better support grassroots communities during extreme heat.
