什麼是遊戲化？傳統上，它意味着從遊戲中借用某些概念將產品或服務增添趣味，通常採用排行榜、徽章、積分和級別等形式進行。我們認為此定義過於簡單又已過時，因為我們可以從遊戲中學到更多。


此工作坊中將先簡單介绍遊戲設計的原則，有關課程和體驗設計的理論，亦會分享不同的真實案例，讓參加者一起想像一個以學生為本、以玩樂為主軸的教育環境。後半部分的環節將透過簡單活動，讓參加者一起分析及構想自己的遊戲化教學體驗，最後以簡單的討論環節作結，深化參加者的體驗歷程。

關於賽馬會「不一樣教育節」

教育燃新為一間推動本地教育改變的慈善機構及平台，「不一樣教育節」為其於2016年推出的重點項目，全年舉辦不同講座、工作坊、教育研習室等，匯聚跨界及環球創新教育者，推動本地教育改變。 「不一樣教育節」體驗日為每年最大型的公眾教育活動。

是次活動為「不一樣教育節」體驗日 2019的體驗工作坊，本於11月23日港島及九龍區體驗日中舉辦，但因交通和其他安排等考慮，順延至12月7日舉行。

Let's explore the power and potential of games and play in education!

What is gamification? Traditionally it has meant borrowing concepts from games to spice up a product, service or campaign, usually taking the form of leaderboards, badges, points and levels. We think this definition is too simple and outdated - and there is so much more that we can learn from games.

In this workshop, we will introduce basic game design principles and simple academic concepts behind game-based program and curriculum design. We will go through some case studies and stories from our portfolio to illustrate the power of games and show a glimpse of a compelling future where learning and innovation is hands-on, fun and engaging. We will lead participants through a simple game dissection and exploration exercise before an interactive Q&A session.

About Jockey Club "Ednovation Fest"

As a charity organization and a platform to facilitate local education transformations in Hong Kong, Ednovators launched one of our key projects “Ednovation Fest” in 2016, a year-long project bringing together Innovative Educators across different sectors and around the world to inspire local innovations through talks, workshops, labs, and more. The project’s largest annual public education event is “Ednovation Fest” Experiential Day.

This workshop is part of "Ednovation Fest" Experiential Day 2019, themed around "Future of Learning". This workshop is a makeup session for the Hong Kong & Kowloon Experiential Day originally scheduled for November 23, 2019 at the HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity.
