A bite of warm rice, a sip of miso soup and a slice of tamagoyaki — sometimes the simplest flavours are the most comforting. Come and discover the story of #rice. Using premium Japanese rice grown on terraced fields, make your own “gratitude onigiri” to taste the flavours of nature.
Hosted by Eummie, a Hong Kong native and part-time farmer in Sado Island Japan👩🏻🌾, in collaboration with PMQ Taste Library, this second edition of The Class of Rice offers:
- Stories from Japanese rice fields, from planting to harvest, sharing the wisdom of farmers 🌾
- An introduction to rice varieties and cooking techniques
- A hands-on onigiri workshop to savour the pure taste of rice
- A meal set featuring onigiri, tamagoyaki, and rustic miso soup🥢
Each participant will take home a 300g pack of premium Japanese rice as a special souvenir. Extend the warmth to your everyday meals.
