PRIDE 2025: REORIENT TO THE FUTURE

Eaton HK host 2-months of queer arts and cultural programs from Jun 9 to July 20, 2025. This year’s theme, “Reorient to the Future”, calls to imagine a world where queer, crip, refugee, or marginalized in any way—belongs, thrives, and shapes what’s next

SpringCity is a series of multisensory activations by MaggZ - situated within movement, sound, audio-visual experiences and physical installations. Inspired by MaggZ’s hometown of Kunming (Yunnan, China), SpringCity reimagines the city as a vision of the future, with each iteration responding to the SpringCity Manifesto. This Manifesto is a reflection of MaggZ’s ongoing research at the intersection of world-building, cyberfeminism, ancestral practices and archival investigations. Through a diasporic minority-Chinese lens, SpringCity aspires to offer bold and alternative dreaming spaces for those who don’t fit into a box of societal norms SpringCity 30642 is a multisensory interactive game-performance by MaggZ, situated within movement, sound, installation and technology. SpringCity 30642 transforms different spaces into a participatory game-design laboratory, to further investigate the idea of world-building and heterotopia, through a diasporic minority-Chinese lens. As such, to recontextualise localised ancestral practices of Kunming City (Yunnan Province, China) and club culture, through post-internet lens with body, sound, both physical and digital installation. SpringCity 是由 MaggZ 創作的一系列多感官體驗項目，融合動作、聲音、視聽體驗和實體裝置藝術。靈感源自 MaggZ 的家鄉——中國雲南昆明，SpringCity 以未來視角重新構想這座城市，每次呈現都回應 SpringCity 宣言。此宣言是 MaggZ 在世界建構、賽博女性主義、祖先傳統實踐與檔案研究交叉領域中的深度探索與反思。透過華人少數族裔的獨特視角，SpringCity 希望為那些不符合社會標準框架的人，營造大膽且另類的夢想空間。 SpringCity 30642 是 MaggZ 創作的多感官互動遊戲與表演，結合動作、聲音、裝置藝術與科技。SpringCity 30642 將不同的空間轉化為參與式的遊戲設計實驗室，透過華人少數族裔的視角，進一步探索世界建構與異托邦的概念。項目以網絡後時代的視角為切入點，結合身體、聲音以及實體與數字裝置，重新解讀昆明市（中國雲南省）的本地祖先傳統實踐與俱樂部文化。 Dialogue in English 英語對白
