開源香港 (本會) 與自由香港楷書項目在 Open Source Tech Talk 今個月合辦一場「自由香港楷書-中文造字工作坊」，讓學生和大眾用家學習如何使用開源軟件，進行中文造字工作。
香港就小學生學習的中文字做了30年的持續研究，有些字中、港、台都各有不同的寫法。
在正體中文資訊世界，主要源用台灣的字體，但部份寫法跟香港的寫法不同。但香港政府沒有一套香港楷書字型給市民使用，令學生在學習中文字時發生很多困難。
為了讓香港學生有效學習中文字！現在我們正進行「自由香港楷書」項目，誠邀大家一同參與中文造字的行列。
現在我們將舉辦一個中文造字工作坊，由長者義工教授參加者如何使用自由開源程式進行中文造字，及分享造字程式的技巧與運用。
